Josh Rovenger

Josh Rovenger is a Senior Attorney in the Economic Justice Practice Group at The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. He handles cases concerning debt collection, unemployment compensation, employment discrimination, wage theft, and student loans. In Fall 2021, he served as a negotiator in negotiated rulemaking related to student loans with the U.S. Department of Education. Prior to joining Legal Aid, Josh worked in private practice, served as an attorney at the Project on Predatory Student Lending, an organization housed at the Harvard Legal Services Center, and clerked on the District Court for the District of Massachusetts and First Circuit Court of Appeals. Josh received his JD from Harvard Law School and his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and philosophy from The George Washington University. Josh is the current chair of the LGBTQ+ Committee of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
