Alysson Snow, Senior Attorney, leads the Consumer Protection Division of the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, Inc. Ms. Snow and her team provide free legal assistance and representation to low-income consumers who struggle with issues with financial companies and their products. Almost half of her clients are monolingual Spanish speakers. She provides direct legal assistance to a wide-range of consumer related issues, including assisting with debt defense, affirmative actions for violations of the state and federal Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and other consumer protection statutes, mortgage lending issues, student loans, mortgages, auto fraud, auto repair fraud, etc. Prior to working at Legal Aid Society of San Diego, Inc., Ms. Snow worked for DLA Piper (US) LLP for six years doing securities litigation and pharmaceutical defense. After about six years at DLA, she had an epiphany and decided to refocus her career to public interest. She graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.
