Advancing Tenant's Rights With Consumer Laws: This course will discuss how consumer attorneys can use consumer laws to assist tenants, both defensively and offensively. It will discuss using FCRA, FDCPA and UDAP statutes to help tenants in individual and class action cases. The course will provide an overview of practices by large multi-state property management companies, common tactics by defendants, and the type of discovery needed to prove claims.
