Description

This is a January 30, 2024 complaint brought by the Georgia AG in a Georgia state trial court suit against MV Realty alleging UDAP violations and seeking injunctive relief, civil penalties, restitution and other equitable relief.  MV Realty's home equity scheme involved recording a lien on a home that allegedly secures a future contract to act as the homeowner’s realtor. The homeowner receives a small up-front payment in consideration for signing the contract, and if they fail to use this company as their realtor for any sale or transfer in the next forty years, a termination fee is charged of roughly ten times the up-front payment.
