This presentation will discuss various civil rights laws and how they could be used to protect certain consumers when they are looking for loans, financing, or other agreements. The presentation will touch on laws such as the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Section 1981 of the Civil Rights Act, and the Fair Housing Act, discuss different ways to bring those types of claims, and examine which more traditional consumer claims they could be paired with.
