Steve Koval graduated summa cum laude from Emory University in Atlanta with a B.A. and M.A. in political science, and served as president of Emory's student body. He earned his law degree from American University's Washington College of Law in 1986, and returned to Atlanta to practice law. Steve has held numerous leadership positions in the legal community including co-founder and president of Georgia’s Stonewall Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker about consumer law issues at local and national conferences. He is an active member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA).

Steve’s practice primarily focuses on representing consumers in individual and class actions for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and Georgia’s Fair Business Practices Act. He loves doing his part to hold bad businesses accountable for hurting consumers.
