Deanne Loonin, co-author of NCLC's Student Loan Law, is an attorney and advocate for student loan borrowers, including as an attorney at the Legal Services Center at Harvard Law School’s Project on Predatory Student Lending. She is the founder and former director of the Student Loan Borrower Assistance Project at the National Consumer Law Center. She was formerly a legal services attorney in Los Angeles specializing in consumer cases.
