1.1.2 All Subscribers Have Access to the Digital Version
Consumer Class Actions is available in both a print and digital version. Print revisions are released every few years. The digital version is updated more frequently, with all changes integrated into the text. The digital version also contains additional pleadings and primary source material, as described in § 1.1.5, infra.
The digital version is available at www.nclc.org/library. It allows pinpoint searches of the book, easy navigation between subsections, and active links to external websites, other sections in the book and other National Consumer Law Center (NCLC) treatises. Material in the digital version can be copy/pasted, downloaded, printed, or emailed.
Clicking on “highlight updates” at the top of the screen in the digital version will highlight additions made to the treatise since the release of the latest print edition. This option also displays, in curly brackets at the beginning of each digital footnote, the corresponding footnote number in the print edition. Important law changes are indicated with red flags in the digital version, and very recent updates with blue flags. The digital version also allows users to annotate, highlight, and bookmark text for their own use.
Subscription options are available in either digital-only or print + digital. Subscribers to the print + digital option receive, as part of their subscription price (at no additional charge), any revised print edition that is released during their subscription period.
Additional user names can be purchased for a minimal cost, allowing those additional users to receive their own emails about important new developments; create their own annotations, highlighting, and bookmarks; and personalize their online experience, allowing rapid return to recently viewed pages.
